In short

The website score, report and redesign are free.
If you order a website, you pay a £100 deposit by card, then the balance before your site goes live.
Once you’ve paid in full, the website we build is yours — the code, design and content.
After launch you choose: we host it (£20 a month), you take the code (free), or we move it to your own Cloudflare account (£50).
We build to score well on everything a website controls, but nobody can promise rankings, traffic or sales, so we don’t.

1. About these terms

Versimple (versimple.com) is a brand of Growth Engine Ops, run by Darren McGuire as a sole trader in England. When these pages say “we”, “us” or “Versimple”, they mean Growth Engine Ops.

These terms apply when you use versimple.com and when you order a website from us. When you order, the plan and price shown when you chose your plan, together with these terms and our cancellations and refunds page, make up our agreement.

Versimple is for businesses. If you’re buying as a private individual rather than for a business, section 11 applies as well.

2. The free score, report and redesign

Your score and report are produced automatically from the public website at the time of the scan. Where we can measure something, we do. Where a check couldn’t run, we label the result as estimated or not measured. The report is guidance, not a guarantee.
Your redesign is a concept of your homepage, built from your own website’s words and images, to show what’s possible. It’s free to view and not a finished website. Please don’t publish it or copy it as your website unless you order a build from us.
Only scan a website you own or work for, or that you have a genuine reason to look at. Don’t use Versimple to overload, copy or attack any website — including ours.
We may limit how many scans and redesigns can be run each day, and we may pause the free service at any time.
Redesigns may appear in our gallery unless you opt out — see our privacy notice.

3. Ordering a website

Plans and prices

Each plan (Tier 1 to Tier 4) sets the number of pages, the add-ons (such as online booking or payments) and the number of drafts included. The price is the one shown on your plan page when you choose it, in pounds sterling. If we’re registered for VAT when you place your order, VAT is added at the rate in force at the time and shown before you pay. If we’re not registered, no VAT is charged. Tier 4 is priced with you on a call.

Two ways to build

You fill in the guide (Tier 1–2): you answer the build questions yourself, and we build your website from your answers.
Built with Versimple (all tiers): we answer the build questions with you on a shared-screen session, then build your website.

Paying

Deposit — £100, paid by card on Stripe’s secure page. If you fill in the guide, you pay it when you press “Send for build”. If you build with Versimple, you pay it before you book your build session. The deposit counts towards your price.
Balance — the rest of the price is due when you approve your final draft, before your website goes live. We launch your website once it’s paid.

Drafts and changes

Your plan includes a set number of drafts (Tier 1: one, Tier 2: two, Tier 3: three, Tier 4: four). You tell us what to change after each one.
Once your included drafts are used, further changes are £100 an hour. We always agree the work with you before we start.
Adding pages or add-ons beyond your plan moves you up a tier. You pay the difference between the two prices.

What we need from you

Accurate information about your business, and words, photos and logos you have the right to use. We never invent facts, reviews, prices or qualifications for your website. If we’re waiting on something from you, your project waits too.

4. What you own

Your own content — your words, photos and logo — stays yours throughout.
Once you’ve paid in full, the website we build for you is yours: its code, design and content. You can take the files and host them anywhere.
Some things aren’t files: for example, forms that pass through our systems, automations, or booking and payment systems from other companies. If you leave us, we can rebuild these on accounts you control (quoted separately), or you can replace them.
Services from other companies that your website uses (such as your domain name, hosting account, booking or payment system) have their own terms and costs, which are yours.
We’ll only show your finished website in our portfolio if you agree.

5. After launch: where your website lives

When you approve your final draft, you choose how your website is hosted. You can change your mind later.

We host it — £20 a month. Your website runs on Cloudflare’s global network, with its security certificate, security settings and contact form looked after by us, and earlier versions kept so we can roll back if anything goes wrong. Changes to your website are £100 an hour, agreed with you first. You pay monthly by card and can cancel with 30 days’ notice — you then take your code or move your website to your own account, as below.
Take your code — free. We give you your website’s files, ready to upload to any web host, plus the source project and a short guide. Parts that aren’t files — such as the contact form, which runs through our systems, and any booking or payment services — need replacing; the guide explains how.
Move it to your own Cloudflare account — £50. You open a free Cloudflare account and invite us in. We move your website and contact form into it, connect your domain, check everything works, and then remove our access (or keep it for support if you’d like us to).

Your domain name stays yours whichever you choose. The hosting fee, or the transfer fee, is paid together with your balance.

6. Cancelling and refunds

Your deposit is refunded in full if you cancel before we start building. Once we’ve started, the deposit can’t be refunded. The full details are on our cancellations and refunds page.

7. No promises about results

We build your website to score well on everything the website itself controls — speed, mobile, search and AI-search foundations, and security. Rankings, traffic, enquiries and sales depend on many things outside any website, so we don’t promise them.

8. Our responsibility to you

We’ll carry out our work with reasonable care and skill.
If something we built doesn’t work as agreed, tell us and we’ll put it right at no charge.
Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you’ve paid us for that order. We aren’t responsible for indirect losses such as lost profits, lost business or lost data, or for problems caused by services from other companies.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit.

9. Your responsibility

You’re responsible for the content you give us having the right permissions, and for your website’s content being lawful once it’s live.

10. If something goes wrong

Please tell us first at help@versimple.com — we’ll always try to sort it out quickly and fairly. Either of us can end an order if the other seriously breaks these terms and doesn’t put it right within 14 days of being asked.

11. If you’re buying as a private individual

If you’re a consumer, you have legal rights that these terms don’t affect. In particular, you can cancel within 14 days of your order. If you ask us to start work within those 14 days, you’ll pay for the work done up to the point you cancel. See our cancellations and refunds page.

12. Changes and law

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one in place when you placed it. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales deal with any dispute.
